CHIPCO INTERNATIONAL INFORMATION:
CHIPCO™ has a 30+ year history as the original manufacturer of Ceramic Poker Chips
is an
industry leader in manufacturing of Casino Chips and Custom Poker Chips for
Casinos, Poker Rooms and the Specialty or Promotional Industry. Through a network
of licensed partners and distributors, CHIPCO™ casinos chips can be seen on tables
around the world to include World Poker Tour (WPT) and the Borgata’s Poker Room in
New Jersey just to name a couple of major major tournaments.
** NOTE **
These are authentic "Artist Proofs", the original ones from CHIPCO International, and
are not re-productions or copies. They do
make nice casino chip memorabilia displayed
in a 9" x 12" frame.
This collection of CHIPCO™ "Artists Proofs" I have purchased from a major collector
of casino
chips and casino memorabilia from around the world who is also co-author
of the "Chip Rack",
the bible of pricing Nevada casino chips, with over 350 pages of
listed chips from the all over the
State of Nevada. The "Chip Rack" is updated daily,
and a new edition is released every year.
CHIPCO™ salesman called these "Artist Proofs" waxed copies as they were high quality
prints. In the past, CHIPCO™ sent them snail mail to the salesmen for delivery to casinos
for approval or rejection because the clarity of colors of the chip is more accurate by
seeing it on the waxed copy. If the casino approved the design, they would sign off on
the art work, if they did not like it, they would send it back to be revised, sometimes many
times until the liked it. With many casinos, there were multiple versions and revisions done
to the design. It was not unusual for many original waxed copies to be in the possetion of
the salesman. Several would be left with the casion or person who ordered the chips, most
salesman would keep a copy for their records, and in Nevada, once a casino approves the
artwork, CHIPCO sends a signed copy of the art work to the Nevada Gaming Commission
for their approval or rejection. If the gaming commission rejects a design, the process is
repeated with versions and revisions until the gaming commission approves the design,
at
which time the casino would place it's order. This process is nearly all done by email
now.
Important: Even though these capsules are new, there could be some
contact marks, light scratches on some of the capsules due to
