A very nice example of a 2 piece Civil War or pre Civil War period coat button for the Kentucky Military Institute of Lyndon, Kentucky founded in 1845.     Albert# SU-192.    Backmark reads

"  HORSTMANN  &  SONS  . PHI .  ".   Button retains much of its original gilding.    Button measures 21.28mm.
