HALF-SIDER BUDGERIGAR
This is perhaps the only Budgeriger
of this colour in the world, a Yellow
Faced Opaline Blue on one side and
an Opaline Green on the other. This
is not a new variety but one of
natures "Freaks and cannot be
produced in the breeding pen. It
can occur at any time but the
chances of breeding one are esti-
mated at about one in a million.
Notice how the bird is split exactl down
the centre, this is caused by
split chromosomes one half being
green and the other being Yellow
Faced Blue.
