    Imperial Palace History:
3535 South Las Vegas Boulevard has gone through some changes over the years - as all Las Vegas properties grow, evolve and change hands.  Originally the Flamingo Capri motel in 1959 - it was a 180 room motel located adjacent to the Flamingo hotel and casino.  In 1971, Ralph Engelstad purchased the property and added a casino in 1972.  He added more rooms, a pool and by 1979 the property was the Asian themed Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino. In the 1980's, more rooms were added along with a parking garage. From 1981 to 2017, "The Auto Collections" originally known as the "Antique and Classic Auto Collections" was on display at the resort on the 5th floor of the parking garage in an air-conditioned facility.  It initially consisted of Engelstad's own private car collection. Ralph Engelstad passed away in 2002 and the casino ownership transferred to the Ralph Engelstad and Betty Engelstad Trust. In 2005 Harrah's Entertainment (now Caesars Entertainment Corp.) purchased the property.  In 2012, Caesars Entertainment built a massive entertainment complex adjacent to the Imperial Palace called Project LINQ.  The Imperial Palace was renamed The Quad Resort and Casino.  By 2014, the Quad was rebranded The LINQ Resort and Casino.  The biggest attraction is the Linq Promenade is an open-air retail, dining, and entertainment district which is located between the LINQ and Flamingo resorts.  In 2014, the Las Vegas sky line changed with the addition of The High Roller the world's tallest observation wheel at 550 ft tall -  located in the promenade.
    Fun Facts:
Mat Franco, season nine winner of America's Got Talent, performs nightly at the LINQ.
