Who Was Danny Gans?:
Danny Gans was a headliner on the Las Vegas Strip. He was a singer, comedian and vocal impressionist. Gans was called "The Man of Many Voices" and was awarded Show of the Year for 10 years straight from 1998-2008. Before entering show business, Danny was drafted by the Chicago White Sox. An injury to his Achilles tendon, however, ended his baseball career. He started performing in Las Vegas at the Stratosphere in 1996. In 1998 he moved to the Rio and by 2000 he had his own theatre at the Mirage. When Steve Wynn opened Encore, in 2009, Gans went with him. On May 1, 2009, Gans died of an adverse drug reaction related to medication he was taking.
The Mirage released silver strikes from 1995 to 2016.

What is a Silver Strike?
A Silver Strike, is a Limited Edition Gaming Token which is won from a special slot machine and is in a protective plastic holder. People from all over the world collect, buy, sell and trade these unique gaming tokens. The first Silver Strikes were won from special slot machines in the Reno/Tahoe area of Nevada in 1992. The tokens have been issued with redeemable values of , , , , , , , 0 and 0. The most common denomination is .
About the Mirage Hotel and Casino:
The Mirage opened in 1989 and is located at 3400 South Las Vegas Blvd, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The resort is Polynesian themed with over 3000 rooms. The attractions include the Volcano, Dolphin Habitat and (Siegfried and Roy's) Secret Garden. The headlining shows include Terry Fator and The Beatles: Love. It was designed by Steve Wynn and is currently owned an operated by MGM Resorts International. The Mirage began what is considered "today's" Las Vegas. It was the first resort that was built with the money of Wall Street through the use of junk bonds. Siegfried and Roy along with their white tigers were the headliners at the Mirage from 1990 until 2003 when Roy was critically injured by 650 pound Montecore on stage. Danny Gans joined the Mirage in 2000 and became the headliner in 2004. He left in 2009 to perform at Wynn's Encore. In 2006, The Beatles: Love, a theatrical production by Cirque du Soleil, premiered at the Mirage. In 2009, Terry Fator and Friends were added to the marquee.
