Special Note about this strike:
This was the very first silver strikers club coin issued and produced specifically for the club as a fundraiser. In 2004, the club became independent. Coins were available for purchase, one per club member, for each with a limited quantity of 500 total. Club members could purchase in May 2004, any remaining strikes were sold at the June 2004 CC>CC convention.
What is a Silver Strike?
A Silver Strike is a Limited Edition Gaming Token which is won from a special slot machine and is in a protective plastic holder. People from all over the world collect, buy, sell and trade these unique gaming tokens. The first Silver Strikes were won from special slot machines in the Reno/Tahoe area of Nevada in 1992. The tokens have been issued with redeemable values of , , , , , , , 0 and 0. The most common denomination is . Older Silver Strikes have a higher silver content. As the price of silver increased, the amount of silver decreased. Today, most strikes are Clad, or brass with heavy silver plating.
